Our accessibility approach
Across Bike Youcan, we aim to follow the principles of WCAG 2.2 Level AA. The website uses semantic headings, keyboard controls, visible focus, readable contrast and responsive layouts. Repair guides are designed to work on phones, tablets and desktop screens.
What should work
- Navigation using a keyboard without a mouse.
- Reading the page structure with common screen readers.
- Zooming text and using the site on phones, tablets and desktop screens.
- Using reduced-motion preferences; these pages do not require animation.
- Opening contact links with an email application.
Known limitations
Some complex technical illustrations and interactive bicycle diagrams may not yet provide every detail in a form that works equally well with all assistive technologies. Three-dimensional controls can also be more difficult to operate without a pointing device. We are reviewing alternative descriptions, keyboard operation and clearer instructions.
