PRIVACY & COOKIES · UPDATED 18 OCTOBER 2026

Privacy and cookies notice

This notice explains what information bikeyoucan.com may process, why it is used and the choices available to visitors.

Current analytics status: the Google Analytics measurement ID is not configured, so Google Analytics and optional analytics cookies do not load. If analytics is configured later, it will load only after the visitor gives permission.

Information we may receive

Email enquiries

If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information, images or other details that you choose to include. We use them to read and respond to your question. Please do not send passwords, payment-card information, medical information or other unnecessary sensitive data.

Technical delivery and security data

The hosting infrastructure may process standard technical request data, such as an IP address, date and time, requested page, device or browser information and security events. This is used to deliver and protect the website, diagnose failures and prevent abuse.

Why we use information

Email information is handled to respond to a request that you initiated and for the legitimate interest of operating and protecting Bike Youcan. Technical data may be handled where necessary to provide and secure the service. Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for those purposes, legal obligations or the resolution of a dispute, then deleted or anonymised where appropriate.

Cookies and similar technology

Bike Youcan uses browser storage to remember a visitor’s manual language choice. The optional analytics system can also remember whether analytics permission was accepted or declined. Google Analytics is currently disabled because no valid measurement ID is configured. If it is enabled later, analytics will load only after permission; advertising storage remains disabled. Hosting infrastructure may use strictly necessary security or delivery technology.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, the GDPR may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or to object to particular processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Contact bikeyoucan@gmail.com to make a privacy request. You can also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.

External services and links

Email is handled by the email providers used by you and Bike Youcan. External websites have their own privacy notices. We do not sell the personal information sent through the contact address.

Privacidade e cookies
